It hadn't taken long once they were docked for Tim to find himself a colourful and somewhat tasteless shirt and some cream slacks and head down to Etimon for the carnival that was suddenly the talk of the ship. Honestly, he couldn't remember the last time he'd had some shore leave. It felt like forever ago.
Which was, in his estimation, an excellent excuse to have some now.
He didn't really have anyone to go with, of course. Despite getting on well with most people on the Talon, Tim was finding himself feeling increasingly lonely without any particular close friends. Who were you supposed to spend an evening in the holodeck with, or eat your lunch with?
Things were always so much harder when you were a department chief. Not to mention when you were the chief of the most antisocial department on the ship.
Yeah, because I see Quin and Hunter stuck for company all the time.
He frowned to himself. He wanted a friend, not a slap in the morning.
Strolling around, the bright lights and flashy costumes of the performers were easily enough to distract him from his melancholy thoughts. From stalls selling items he didn't really need but found himself kindof wanting to the sideshows and attractions beckoning him in towards them, Tim reckoned he should be able to find plenty to keep him amused for the evening.
First things first though. Where around here could a man see about finding himself some decent food and a good drink?
