Ahska was going to kill him. Or maybe Tim would. Or perhaps Dorian. Hell, maybe Lara and Etheron would draw straws over who got to kill him. But something told Quin that he'd both violated rules of propriety, in addition to more or less kidnapping the Princess of Etimon.
He hoped the fires of the afterlife were worth it.
Sorry," he said again after they materialized. "If I would have said two to beam up, they would have found us way too quickly when they realized you were gone." He backed up a bit to create space between them. "I wasn't trying to take liberties with you, I swear."
He realized it was a good deal warmer where they were, and a lot brighter as well. Ahska's hair shone brightly in the light of Etimon's sun, seeming to glow almost like a halo about her face. It was highly appropriate for many reasons. He was so distracted by his companion that he hadn't even realized that the island itself was jaw droppingly beautiful. The sand was pale pink in color, and Quin quickly slipped off his shoes to wiggle his toes in it. The water was a paler blue hue, reminding him of the Caribbean islands of Earth. He could see that it was remarkably clear, and even from a distance colorful fish frolicked beneath. He would have expected palm trees, but instead found that the surrounding flora was colored in hues of nearly every color he could imagine. Somehow, rather than looking like a giant mess it all just seemed to fit together.
"Wow," He said to himself.
"I'm so glad I remembered the coordinates right," he said, grinning proudly. As far as the eye could see there was nothing but sand and ocean, without a person in sight.
"This free enough for you? I think I remember a few more locations..."
