Yaxley was able to sense the woman's close proximity to his face. It was clear she was intrigued by his physiology and had never had the opportunatey to see a Rigelian up close. Either that, or he had something on his face. And besides, one of her stray hairs was tickling his nose. Making a small effort to move out of the way of it, he continued to walk beside her - finally being freed from the strand.
"It's okay. Still a bit stiff once in a while, but it's almost not noticeable anymore."
"I'm glad. When I am recovered, feel free to make an appointment for a check-up. Mild discomfort could hinder you in completing your duties." What to him was meant to be an offering, sounded like an insinuation that she was neglecting her job.

"It's a good thing we're not on DS9 with their angled doors. You'd be hitting your head every five feet."
"Indeed." He agreed with little potency. His experiences on DS9 was limited and neither was he terribly familiar with Cardassian architecture.
"I don't know what deck your quarters are on."
"Deck 6." He answered her. Accidentally, he set off the turbolift and they began humming away. He hadn't even realized they had reached the contraption yet. "I requested a quarters a short distance from Sickbay." He offered a topic of conversation. Small talk was still difficult for him to grasp, even after many years among humans and similar races.
