After his shift on the bridge had ended, M'Khol had went down to the Mess Hall to get something to eat, before heading to the brig to see the extent of the damage there. It was clear that the Engineering team had been working on it, and there was still two engineers in the bridge finishing things up. M'Khol shook his head as he walked past the damaged brig cell into his office. He wasn't looking forward to all the reports that he had to take care of.
The way things were going, M'Khol was going to have to have a long chat with Morgan regarding the morale of his department. He was sure that the death - and subsequent recovery - of their previous Chief was not something that was easy for them to deal with. And it appeared that the gap between Stetson's leaving to DS9, and M'Khol's arrival had resulted in some stress as well.
Still, there was an unprecedented amount of psychological instability recently, and while he could understand Kinin's due to her pregnancy-related hormones, many of the others perplexed him. Like Ensign Lasso. She should have never been allowed to stay on duty, and after reviewing the information that he had received from Morgan, M'Khol was requesting that the woman be temporarily reassigned to a Starbase, where her psychological needs could be met. His reasons were twofold - he didn't want anyone around who was going to endanger other members of his staff, and he wanted to make sure a message was made clear. If you weren't capable of performing your duties, then you weren't going to be staying around on the Talon.
There was also the matter of Zak and Alyssa to be handled. While Zak hadn't shown an inability to handle his duties, he had been noticably sullen recently, and M'Khol resolved to keep an eye on him to ensure that his emotional state did not prevent him from doing his job. Alyssa was a bit more difficult, and M'Khol decided that the best bet for her was mandatory counseling.
With a sigh, he completed the forms necessary to transfer Ensign Lasso to a facility back in the Alpha Quadrant, before begining to tackle the incident report from the phaser overload.
