Her team was quick and efficient, and for that Liz was thankful. She'd hoped she'd chosen right and, despite the addition of an unknown entity (in the form of a young engineering man) to her group, she was pretty sure she had. They packed up their equipment--several engineering kits, a few specialized bits of equipment that might be needed to calibrate the different generators, and then set out to follow a couple of the Mae that the Captain had introduced.
A few pleasantries were exchanged, and then the short, child-like Mae led them off toward the place they'd been working.
"We will show you the main generator first," the older of the two Mae said, "If that is acceptable?"
"That's perfect," Liz answered. She glanced at the rest of the Starfleet crew she led, assessing how they felt about that. Presumably, they'd get around to looking at their different areas of expertise soon enough, and she'd be able to get them settled and sorting out what needed to be done. But at the same time, without the main generator online, it wouldn't do much good to fix the rest--without power flow going through the various replicators and shield generators, nothing would happen.
The Mae led the group through the compound they'd built, finally walking through a wide set of doors and into an expansive room. The generator lay on the floor before them, mostly put together it looked like. The Mae sidled up to her side and waved about. "All the components are laid out in proper order. We've been working on it as quickly as I can, and the technicians will assist you in any way possible, but I am afraid that we're not quite sure where it all goes."
Liz nodded, eyes locked on the device as she turned over the various parts of it in her head, analyzing as best she could without a tricorder, and from some distance. "Sure."
