Dorian trusted his people to do what they needed to do in the current situation. He couldn't do anything more about the ships surrounding Talon than to meet with Phot and negotiate with him.
If the analogy of size held true, he was bringing the biggest of the Bacohl he'd met along with him to hopefully help the negotiations. Choth had seen things on the Talon and he could bear witness of that information to his leader. Along with that he was big and therefore a dominant in their hierarchy. Of course, that probably ment that Phot was even bigger.
He chuckled as the thought of his former security chief crossed his mind. This is one away team he wouldn't have minded having M'Khol along. They hadn't become close in the way he had with Stetson, but the big Klingon officer had been truly excellent at his job.
Dorian wasn't a pessimist by nature but sometimes his job required he plan for the worst while he hoped for the best. His orders to the bridge were ones he knew he had to give. Things he would have done himself were he in command at that point, but the thought of destroying the ship; his wife and child; and everything around or in it did not make him happy.
He finally arrived at the dorsal shuttle bay and commanded the bay be lit and landing lights turned on to guide the alien shuttle into the space once the shields were down.
He had already armed himself on the way to the shuttle bay. So now, he stood behind the safe line and waited for the shuttle to slide into the lighted bay.
