Matthew sat at the shift doctor's desk, doing the paperwork that needed to be done, since he had nothing else to do. Since everyone had left, he decided to be the watchman of the Sickbay.
He was keeping and eye on everyone, getting anything that anyone needed, making sure that everyone was as comfortable as they could be for lying in biobeds. That was his job as a doctor, to take care of his patients. To give them the best care possible.
Matthew wasn't sure when anyone was going to come back, and he didn't expect the Diego guy to come back anytime soon. 'He's probably gonna get a little something from the Blonde Vulcan. If they could only see the little bubble that they were in.' He thought to himself as he continued to multitask between paperwork, although it was electronic on his PADD connected to the computer at the desk, he still had to do it.
As he made his rounds again in the Sickbay, he kept a watchfull eye out for anything out of the ordinary, or someone's readings on their biobed not reading correctly. He was very observant in keeping up with everyone's health and that's what made him such a good doctor.
'Father would be proud of me. So would mother. I hope I can talk to them again soon, hopefully they figure out how to get us out of this void-thingy.' He thought to himself as he stared at the wall, hoping he was gazing toward space, thinking mostly of his mom and dad, back home, and wishing he could somehow help with this whole Red Alert situation.
'Doing your job is helping.' Matthew thought to himself, answering his own thoughts. 'You stay put and help out the best way that you know you can. Taking care of people. Making them well again.' And that was all that mattered to him. Making people who didn't feel well, get back on their feet and to their posts, if any, again. It made his job feel more satisfactory if they got well.
He took another look around the Sickbay, checking once more. He yawned and headed over to the replicator for a quick cup of joe. As he held it tight in his hands he walked back over to the shift doctor's desk, deciding to lean against it instead of sitting down like he had been for a while now.
