Once more, she had to force herself not to laugh. These Starfleet types were really giving her a chance to practice her deadpan. She wondered whether Richards was trying to justify said measures to Ahska, or to himself.
"It is unfortunate that we had to inconvenience them in the first place, but I could not risk the infiltrator taking a civilian hostage, or otherwise endangering people.
Well, at least the Captain had given them more of a straight answer than her first officer had. She hated people that tried to protect others from the truth, especially when they were doing it to people who were capable of handling the answer. As she awaited the Princess' response, she wondered how much more time they'd need to spend dawdling with the Starfleet types before they could get settled in their respective quarters, and Zakhara could see how these "replicator" things worked. She forced herself not to sigh in frustration over the whole matter, knowing that patience was generally rewarded.
