Even with the extent of the repairs necessary on the Copernicus, having nearly a dozen engineers working on the navigational deflector meant that progress was steady. Lieutenant's Roman and Trotter had aided the Talon's engineers in understanding the specs that each of the new components needed to conform to in order to work properly, and the modifications were being made to get everything working properly together.
With so many engineers working on the navigational deflector, Emmarie had began to tackle the matter of the Communications Array. Fortunately, this wasn't nearly in as bad of shape as the deflector had been. The parts that she needed she quickly had sent down from the Talon, and managed to replace. She then headed up to the bridge to verify that it was working.
"Lieutenant Emmarie to the USS Talon, are you receiving this?" She asked hopefully. While on the bridge, she checked the progress on the Navigational deflector. It appeared that the team had been working quickly to get it done, and Emmarie figured that assuming the Impulse Drive issues were as minor as they were initially told that they could be in the air within an hour or so.
"Repairs are coming along well, hoping to get her spaceworthy within two to three hours," she said, exaggerating the time somewhat in case of unforeseen complications. "Will call in once we're ready to take off to confirm conditions are fine up there. Emmarie out."
She fought the urge to flop down in the empty Captain's chair while no one was around to see, then took the turbolift back down to the interior components of the Navigational deflector to see if she could be of any use there. Sure enough, there were still a few things that needed to be forced into place, and she began trying to muscle things as best she could to get everything where it belonged.
