"Why did Doctor Kane not mention any of this?"
Beats me! "I have spent several years studying childbirthing. Doctor Kane's training is focused elsewhere. It is through experience that I know this. Doctor Kane has little experience with children in comparison." He explained, having read the man's file. They had 'shared notes' before and so Yaxley was well versed in his skills.
"My last pregnancy went without any problems and the doctor on the Sullivan said I had the perfect Klingon pregnancy."
"Korrd wasn't a hybrid. If he had been, I'm sure Doctor Patame would have told you the same."
"I wish to go back to the party,"
To this, he said nothing. He merely gazed at her, unhindered.
"But I know I will not convince you to let me go. You are as stubborn as a Vulcan."
"Naturally..."
"I am sure you have something more important to do than..." She yawned. "...watch a Klingon sleep."
Without saying another word, Yaxley wove his hand over the wall panel - diming the lights slowly. She would sleep heavily tonight. He'd made sure of that. She would need all the energy she could get for the months ahead.
Closing the door behind him, he lowered a filter on the small window on the door. It would stop any light from the ward peering through. With that done, he made his way into the office - all the while keeping an eye out for her call and the tinkering in the medical lab.
