Kunama smiled back at them, not much lower from their standing heights above her but then had this been a proper chair made for a Nolfian, then they would be more or less square. Tiredness crept into her jaws and ears and she made an effort to hide it. It was considered bad manners on Nolfia to yawn at a party, even worse when in front of a host.
"It is in new knowledge and experience that we find the best parts of life," she said. "You never stop learning, no matter how old you get, and you should never stop wanting to, either."
Konak still made a face but didn't argue any more against the matter and Kunama wondered when Hokra would be arriving. Hokra was a retired teacher and senator, much older than Kunama or Vo'ran in her years but was used to dealing with strangers. She had made several friends of the Helakians before they went extinct. Having Hokra around as a teach for Konak would help Kunama in many ways. Kunama would make sure she could find a teacher who could teach him about humans and their ways as well about Starfleet and other things that would stand him in good stead and preparation for the future.
"Sorry. It's been a long couple of days."
"Excuse us, Ambassador General," Adam said. "I think it's time we called it a night." Just as he said that, Konak's mouth opened to echo Zi's yawn. "For more than us, it appears,"
Kunama nodded and glanced at Konak with a soft smile before lifting him and getting to her feet. Her tail flicked and stretched before adopting a lazy wave, "Indeed so, Ensign Cross. It's bee a pleasure Ziana. May your dreams be restful," she replied with another military bow of her head and watched them move away.
"I dun want to go to bed," Konak mumbled in their native tongue and Kunama replied in kind as she moved for the exit.
"You're not the only one that has to rest their head tonight,"
End Kunama
