Her laugh sent chills down his already cold spine, he didn't protest as she moved away from him, he wouldn't have expected anything different. But then he saw her closer to the edge of the cliff, and her eyes gazing at the drop rather than the landscape. Robin's eyes widened for a moment, she wasn't going to jump was she? Robin took a step towards her but thankfully she moved away from the edge but the idea of it, the idea that she might be willing to do that.
He was scared.
When their eyes met again, he felt that chill again and felt another wave of guilt crush down on him as she spoke so formally to him. Then she was gone, walking right towards the cave and Robin stared with a defeated look on his face.
What could he do? Robin closed his eyes, saw the coldness in the ones that weren't his and their gaze shifting to an enormous drop. The best thing for him to do was to leave her alone, give her some space but that moment haunted him and he knew that he couldn't leave her in this cold place. He was not about to let her do something stupid, all because of him.
Robin opened his eyes and looked to the back of Reesa's form walking into the cave, she could have easily transported back to the Talon but she had stayed, did she want him to stop her? To proclaim to her a feeling he didn't have? It was then that he realized, that he didn't have a commbadge, he had completely forgotten it! Which meant Reesa was his only way of getting back unless someone realized he was stranded and beamed him up and judging from the sight he had seen from the top of the mountain, it was a pretty isolated area.
Robin again felt like laughing, if only it wasn't such a serious scenario. He sighed long and hard, blowing away specks of blue snow away from his face before moving to catch up with Reesa. Should he tell her he needed her to get off the planet? Would she be cruel enough in the moment of rage to deliberetely leave him here? He shook his head and caught up to Reesa, moving to stand in front of her.
"Reesa, I'm sorry, I really am... you have nothing to be sorry for but me, I allowed this to happen, to lead you on. It's my fault." Robin stepped closer, putting his hands on her shoulders, an action to reflect his plea that she was listening to him and not blinded by anger, hurt or anything else.
"You deserve better."
