"I hear that the Etimonians have drinks that do all sorts of things. They really know how to make someone feel good."
She looked at the glass again, thoughtfully.
"Yeah," she mumbled in reply. She did feel good. Almost... amazing, really, like she could do absolutely anything she tried to. She felt light, and giddy, and... just great.
"It's fine. Everyone has to learn somehow. I'll teach you."
Her return kiss was less soft than the first had been, and Kathryn found that when she stopped thinking about it she just responded, almost as if everyone really knew how to kiss and they just needed the opportunity to do it to realise it.
When Xeira pulled away, she pouted slightly.
"You want to dance?" She asked. "I promise, it'll be fun."
She pondered for a moment, then a grin spread across her face. What harm could it do? And besides, she'd always been worried she was a terrible dancer but the way she felt right now she had the feeling that today she might be pretty amazing.
She reached out and took Xeira's hand.
"Oh!" she exclaimed. "We can't leave these." She picked up her glass with her other hand. "If you leave drinks around people can put stuff in them y'know." She nodded, in what she thought was a sage manner. In a fluid motion she drank the last mouthful from her glass and then picked up the pitcher and peered at it. "See, there's not much left," she said, with a grin. "We can just drink it then go dance."
She nodded happily to herself as she poured the remainder of the liquid into the two glasses, filling each to about 3/4 full.
"Here'ssslooking at you," she said, and giggled as she slurred the s. Then she tipped the glass back and drank the lot in four large mouthfuls, then set the glass a little unsteadily back onto the table.
"Let'sgodance!" she exclaimed in one word, and hauled herself out of the chair and towards Xeira. Unfortunately she'd not expected to be not at all in command of her legs, or balance, and easily careered straight into the other woman, wrapping her arms around Xeira to try and steady herself.
"Oooh!" she giggled. "Feelssssoooo good." She grinned at Xeira, then grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the dancefloor, unsteadily swaying and weaving to and fro as she went. "Y'know," she said, as they moved, "I think ev'ryone should have t' drink like... a whooollle pitcher of that ev'ry mornin'. Then we'd all be awesome alllll day."
