In the time they’d had to prepare on their way out from Deep Space Nine, they’d all worked exceedingly hard getting all the equipment loaded onto the various shuttles. Of course the team going to the planet also had need of at least one of the shuttles for some of their people and equipment.
So they rearranged and got everything they could into their shuttles and once they were finally at the installation point for the generators they’d be able to set up a cargo pad for the largest items.
Then they arrived at Breas and things began to happen quickly.
The team of Engineers and Operations boarded the shuttles and they made ready to launch.
“We’ve received clearance from Flight Control sir,” the helmsman called out.
“Thank you Ensign Cruz,” he acknowledged.
“Take us out.”
The craft lifted off and the bay doors slid wide to let his shuttle and the other two in their party glide free.
They curved around the ship and headed toward the moon and the extensive base that had been built on the dark side.
He watched as the moon Liss revealed how much of its mass had been torn away by the explosions. The damage was beyond belief and he could only imagine what it had been like when that massive chuck had torn away and hurled itself into space.
The Breatach had been lucky that particular chunk had reached escape velocity instead of being snared by the planet’s gravity field to be sucked down to destroy life on Breas.
But that also meant it was more efficient to bring in an asteroid than to try and turn it back from its course out of the system at its ecliptic north.
The base was waiting for them with open arms and Ensign Cruz executed a fine maneuver bringing them into the base’s shuttle bay with the other two shuttles right behind her.
“Alright people,” he said as the pilot secured the shuttle on it’s pad.
“Lets move.”

**Engineering and Operations officers… you’re with me. Some security as well.
