It had been a good month for the Pi in Sky. Mac had opened it after a short remodeling period where he had added a small stage and a dance floor in the back. With the help of his trusted friend and head of security for the Pi, Carlos Hartman, he had some of the best and trusted employees around. Seeing as they all lived on the station helped in the fact that each one of them wanted to maintain a good reputation and keep steady employment.
So today was a good day. He had been open for a month now and just celebrated his fifth month wedding anniversary a few days ago. Life was good. He was happy and making money. The payments to his father and father-in-law were on schedule. If the trend continued this place would be his completely in a few years.
"Good morning!" he smiled as he greeted his head bartender, Tony Lockwood.
"Mornin'," he greeted back and immediately went to work restocking the bar.
Next came his cooks, a couple of waitresses and one waiter along with Jimmy, one of his bouncers.
"Have you seen Carlos?" he asked Jimmy.
"No sir, I haven't," came the reply and he nodded. It'd been awhile since he had seen the man and was curious.
With the lights on and the door open they were now open for business. Taking a drink of coffee from his mug he checked the total sales from the previous day and nodded approvingly and felt he had made the right decision buying this bar, despite the taunting of his oldest sister, Emily. She and her brother Josh were both still in Starfleet Academy so he paid little attention to their teasing or rants.
