She was asleep. Or, better stated, sleeping it off. Adam had insisted she lie down as soon as they arrived in his quarters. He put her into his bed and told her to just shut her eyes. Lowering the lights 80%, he ordered the computer to keep the door to the room open. While she slept, he sat down in front of the computer and researched the best foods to eat if one had a hangover. There were several theories and foods. Taking notes, he finally arrived at a general consensus. She would need to be rehydrated. Was that the opposite of dehydrated? He shrugged. She needed electrolytes, whatever those were, and coconut water seemed to rank high on the list. Supposedly it had five of the electrolytes found in human blood. According to what he had read, her stomach would be queasy. Ginger tea for that. Energy. She needed that, too. Sweet, fruity juices was high in sugar. Instant energy. Salt. That was on the list, too. Many claimed pickle juice was the cure.
To the replicator he went. "Water, coconut water, ginger tea, strawberry juice, pickle juice, in one glass." As it materialized, he sniffed it. It didn't smell too bad.
Now for the actual meal. "Bananas," for the potassium, "scrambled eggs," for the amino acids, "tomatoes," for the lycopene, something to do with inflammation curative, "put it all in a chicken noodle soup broth," the cure for everything.
It appeared and he picked up the bowl and the glass and carried to the table.
