Checking he hadn't caused himself some kind of untold damage, Diran was relieved to see that he was most likely alright. At least in the physical sense, this place he wasn't ashamed to say gave him the creeps! Lapham seemed to be enjoying it though, as she came bounding over giddy as a schoolgirl asking him what he had been thinking of.
"Something a little more useful than that", he retorted. "and less painful too", he finished before elaborating further. I was thinking that we could use a map or a board, just like this one but with a little more detail", he informed her as he gestured toward the grey wooden sign. Okay, a lot more detail, but seriously just what was going on here? This was becoming stranger by the minute and they had found no answers, only further questions. They also hadn't found anything that they could physically take back to show the rest of the group, which again was probably not all that helpful. He could take the sign, he supposed, but it wasn't all that practical to carry.
Instead, he turned to face the direction from which they had just come before speaking again.
"I'm guessing that's around twenty minutes, do you think we should head back sir? She was the superior by rank here, so ultimately it would be her decision. Either way, he began to follow the trail in order to make the rendezvous with the rest of the group. She could always stop him if she felt the need, though it probably wouldn't be necessary.
Returning to see the rest of the group already present, as well as a few more members of the crew he couldn't remember being with them originally, Diran wondered if they had overrun slightly. Arriving just in time to hear that some had even gone missing, he arched an eyebrow.
"You mean literally vanished?", he asked hoping that he had misunderstood. It was bad enough that there were more than the original group caught up in this, but that would make the situation a hundred times worse.
