"You are welcome to come by some time when you come to visit. We have a policy of first drinks free for all returning fleeters,"
"Well Mac, I'd say you certainly know how to get you punters through the door," she replied with a smile as she followed him and Adam up the hill pass, anticipating this sport that Adam seemed to enjoy. For her it was important to know what made her subordinates happy, for them to see she wasn't as steely as she knew she could show herself to be. There was no need for formality on shore leave. Jayde was simply Jayde here, no Lieutenant, no sir. Having a civilian in the mix amongst certainly helped that endeavour.
Listening to Mac drabble on was almost soothing if not for the other sounds around her. It wasn't long before the had reached the start of the zip line and she momentarily stared down what length of the zip line she could see. The view was spectacular by itself, never mind what she was about to do with herself. Still, it should be no less exhilarating that being in or watching a boxing match with her father.
She listened to the Pelebian talk over the use of the colourful device, explaining what each colour meant in relation to action. Well, she certainly approved of that. Colour was always important. She glanced to the other woman that had joined them and smiled slightly when she spoke. Jayde vaguely recognised her, Talon was not a small ship by any means and Jayde had yet to acquaint herself with everyone aboard and she knew it would be impossible to anyways.
"I see you all had the same idea I did,"
"Good news travels fast," she replied.
She turned her head, fixing her hair absently as Adam asked who was going to try the zip line first and it seemed that Mac from the Pie was very much the eager beaver. She smiled at his enthusiasm slightly, always a good thing to watch of other people.
Jayde watched Mac fly down the line and hit into the water in a flurry of shouts and squeals. She watched with some fascination though sunning herself on the beach seemed a little more appealing right now.
"After you," she grinned at Marina, after all she had technically been here first.
