"She'll be fine with a little bit of TLC, I promise."
“Thank you,” Desan said, “it means a lot to me to know that she’s in good hands.” He slowly let out a sigh of relief. He knew she wouldn’t be awake right away, but he intended to stay around if duty permitted to ensure he was there when she awakened. Don’t lecture her, he advised himself, she’s been through enough already. He pulled out a padd and checked the status of the investigation regarding Helik Dakbar. If a final decision had been made, it had not been transmitted to Starfleet Intelligence for review. A woman entered who looked vaguely familiar, but Desan was reasonably certain he’d never spoken to her before one-on-one.
"Commander Wallace,"
So that’s who she was. He knew the name well enough. He frowned. Wallace was a counselor, who’d ended up at the station because of an attempt to end her own life. Had someone summoned her because of this fact? Desan doubted that personal experience would really aid a counselor in attending to a suicide…
He couldn’t force himself to admit that Rychel might have been suicidal. Not yet. Not until he talked to her.
"And that's all I know, I'm afraid, but I'm sure you've worked miracles with less."
Desan raised an eyebrow, trying to discern Greg’s intent. Did Morgan have some new psychotherapy that could be performed on unconscious people? Or was she moonlighting as a transfusion specialist?
"We need a little help here,"
He looked up at the sound of the voice and quickly identified the person who needed assistance as Ellyena… or at least, whatever remained of her. Her wounds were most decidedly not self inflicted. A few more moments with the padd and he saw the details of the security alert that had been issued as a result. He looked over the descriptions of the attackers. They weren’t anyone Desan had on a watch list… at least, not yet. He would have to pay attention when Elly spoke with the guard further.
