All of the clamoring above her agitated Eden- not because it was noisy, noise was easily handled, but because once again a victim had been claimed by a foe that had gotten away with so much on account of chubby cheeks and a diaper. At first she was not particularly keen on physically subduing the little nightmare but with every flash of light the temptation grew. Baby or not, from a security standpoint, the baby was dangerous and not handling it with the skills given to her went against the grain of her very person- an uncomfortable feeling and slightly embarrassing to boot.
Cloth fell from above her, twirling and dancing down the tube freely. That ain't good...
"I need to get this twisted baby out of me!" Ensign Warren's shout struck so hard Eden thought her heart had stopped for a moment. That baby had made the most grave tactical mistake of its little mischievous life. Warren and Nivans had been thrown together for a short time but the judgement had been made; the red-blonde woman was not to be trifled with. She would have been a blast to work with had her orders been any different, but that was where the dwelling ended.
"Gee Manetti!" The woman grumbled as she went up the newly freed ladder after the others.
"Get up here you two. The woman needs help right now." Halsey called down, and for once he was not the recipient of any sass; it had a time and place but now was neither of those. "I'm climbing as fast as I can, JG!" Eden heaved as her arms and legs moved her as fast as they could.
Jumping off the ladder was not as relieving as she imagined it would have been when she hopped on it so far down, then the baby had only been a potato in a sack and now...not so much.
"Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!" Eden exclaimed a little louder than she had intended having finally seen the damage dealt by the alien. It looked awful and uncomfortable. Obviously it was since Taylor had been screaming. The towel-dressed ensign's stomach hurt in sympathy just at the sight of the misery.
"I can power lift two fifty with ease. This lady doesn't come close to that." There was no point in trying to be unimpressed, Eden was glad that someone might be able to handle the burden with greater ease. "No offense intended, Mac, but I think I like you better as a buck." She told him with a crooked smile and had the heart to volunteer his abilities. "Do you think you could assist Ensign Warren and help her walk?" Her eyes focused on Taylor, eyebrows raised curiously wondering if walking assistance was an acceptable compromise to being carried like a less than happy bride.
Halsey had asked about a turbo lift which was good thinking, really.
"Alright y'all," Eden said quickly, putting her hand on Mac's muscular arm, (it was nice but she would never confess to that out loud...) as time was becoming even more scarce. "Ensign Warren is still navigating but I'm takin' point in the event that I gotta use this." She gestured to the phaser in her good hand. "JG, I would ask that you take the rear for now," the ensign knew she could really only request at this moment as he outranked her, "as Mac may have his hands full. Time to see if you've been practicin' what I taught ya 'cause this ain't the holodeck."
