"You have requested my presence, Captain Raal?"
Hearing the voice of the Romulan ambassador, Raal turned to find that Commander Kayden had done as asked. His eyes surveyed the ambassador's entourage, and it became evident that she wouldn't be perceived as weak. The Capellan easily towered over her body guards and her aid, and slowly moved towards the Romulans. He stared down at her and nodded slowly. "Madam Ambassador, thank you for honoring my request," said Raal. He took a deep breath before continuing. "I thought it best to inform you of a recent development on Etimon. A Romulan shuttle was discovered in the Etimonian desert. Hezak Ashka asked us to investigate."
Raal only paused a moment, attempting to gauge the Ambassador's response. He was rather confident that Romulans were by nature very adept at concealing their emotions. They would likely be very formidable in the human card game, poker. "I can assure you that I have my best people looking into it now," said Raal. "Commander Richards is personally leading the mission. I was hoping to have word on survivors, but as of yet, I haven't been alerted to such findings."
Now, the question was just how much she'd openly volunteer. "According to our readings, that vessel has been on Etimon for about a month," Raal said, his eyes intently set upon the Ambassador. "According to our records, neither Etimon or SGE were expecting to receive visitors from the Empire. Admittedly, the vessel seemed to have gone down during the solar phenomenon we experienced then. Still, as I'm sure you'd agree, vessels don't just appear out of thin air. I was wondering if there was anything you could offer to aid in our rescue and recovery efforts."
It was his way of asking nicely. Diplomacy was definitely a learned behavior. As a Capellan, Raal was certain there were more effective ways of getting the answers that he wanted. Of course, all of those methods weren't exactly agreeable with his uniform.
