After checking in with Rychel and seeing how she was healing (both emotionally and physically), Leria had went back to her quarters and changed into the uniform of the SGE Supernovas. She’d developed a love of baseball while she was in the Academy, and played for both the Starfleet Academy team, and the Starfleet Medical team. When she’d arrived at the station and found out they didn’t have a team, she made it her duty to get one started. In fact, there were now so many people on the station that there were three or four teams, so they could play with real people from time to time, instead of just holograms. As the best of the teams, they would play Deep Space Nine’s team, the Niners, in a few weeks at the Gamma Quadrant Series.
She had a mesh bag full of baseballs, her trusty wooden bat, and her glove as she walked towards the holosuites, which garnered a few odd looks from the Etimonians around. She could have used equipment provided by the holosuite, but personally she preferred the feeling of her own equipment, lovingly worn down by her years of playing.
“Hey all,” she said, greeting her team mates, several of whom were already standing outside the holosuite. Leria glanced at the location that they’d chosen to play at, and nodded appreciatively. Huntington Avenue Grounds as it was in 1903 was definitely a pitcher’s best friend, with a center field wall distance of over 500 feet. Recently, the teams had taken to hitting far too many home runs, so they’d taken to a strategy that actually made baserunning and working the outfield difficult again, playing in parks that were notoriously difficult for hitters.
As the team entered the holodeck, Leria grinned widely, noting how everyone in attendance was wearing a jaunty hat, and old style suits and dresses. The only alteration was the scoreboard, which listed both teams names: the Starbase Gamma Etimon Supernovas versus the Gamma Gizmos. Where there would normally be a wall in most stadiums there was several rows of fans. As Leria approached they parted to allow her and the rest of the team to get through to the field.
“I do say,” one of the fans said. “I do not know what a “supernova” is, but they are my bet for this superb match up.”
Her grin widened. It was going to be a fun game. She looked around until she figured out where her catcher had gotten off to, then trotted over. “Get your gear on, I need to throw some warm-up pitches before the other players get here!”

(OOC: Anyone can be a member of the team, and assume that you’ve been playing at least a few games, so everyone knows everyone at least a bit. Please note what position your character will be playing so there’s no duplication.)
