With backbreaking work behind her, and the orders to take some time off screaming at her on her PADD, Zaynah had no choice but to comply. She knew they wanted the officers to take some time to relax and rejuvenate their spirits, but many would find it counterproductive, dropping their emotions into a vat of inky blackness. Zaynah was not that kind of person. If they were going to require her to have fun, then fun was what she was going to have.
She was sure there would be enough officers jumping at Monroe's message, but he was not her Captain, though she had served on his ship for a time during the war. To be perfectly honest, she was an officer without a Captain and had no idea if they were going to send her back to SGE or not. From what she had heard, the Bacohl had been instrumental in securing SGE and Etimon's safety, so she was content that most of those she had come to consider friends were still alive.
Except Victor.
Shaking her head, she wiped that thought away with practiced ease as she slipped on a skin-tight sapphire colored mini-dress. It clashed tremendously with her skin color, which was the point. The mirror reflected her smile as she checked her hair one last time before exiting the rented room in a jaw-dropping highrise.
Taking the lift down to the bottom floor, she exited upon arrival and clacked with her stiletto heels down the marble hallway. As she entered the main casino, the noise, smells, and exuberance infected her almost immediately. Glancing for a second at a flashing display on the wall, she located her destination, then used the message center to send out a blanket invitation. "Party at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Come to the Hyde." Soon, she was in the nightclub, undulating her body to the music, losing herself in the bodies that pressed up against her, not caring who was there or where they put their hands.
