"What did you say?"
It only took half a microsecond to learn that every piece of information the planetary scientist had given her should be taken with, what was it humans said? A tablespoon of sugar?
"Ensign Tekison had said that..." the Bajoran began to explain before Tahp walked off, clearly less interested in what had been said than her question implied. That wasn't at all how Coardi wanted to leave things but reconsiliation would have to wait until later; she didn't want to bring it up and have Tahp disappear while the Lieutenant Commander was gone. That would not be good for either of them.
Coardi spent the time in her own thoughts before Jenison promptly returned.
"I can help Ensign Cunningham keep pressure on her wound," Coardi volunteered, willing to do more than she'd offered. What wouldn't she do to get them out of this place? Giant marbles, strange Terran mammals, bishops and horse fighters- the Prophets only knew what else could be out there yet the youthful yeoman still did not falter as the group moved along.
"There's enough around to make a fire," Coardi said as she gently gave Grace's wound a visual inspection, "if we can find some water we can try to clean up these wounds before infection sets in." How long were they going to be stranded here? How long could they last? Those questions could be answered later. Right now they needed to concentrate on what they could figure out. "Maybe we could start a bonfire this evening, big enough that any stragglers from the crash might see it, unless any of you have any communications devices on you."
