The past couple of years had been . . . adventurous . . . to put it mildly. He'd been involved in so many different actions that they sometimes seemed to meld into one big memory blob. Apparently Starfleet was happy with him, since they were now punishing him for good behavior. Either that or they were giving him a chance to take it easy.
Stetson laughed at that last thought. Easy? Creating, developing, and implementing a Remote Training Facility for the Academy? Yeah, right, that's what it was. NOT! Fortunately his experience on Etimon allowed him to hit the ground - figuratively speaking - running, so he could take a bit of comfort in that. Still, it was going to be challenging, even a little daunting; then again, that was his trademark.
Etimon. "Etimon, indeed. Wonder how Ahska's doing." Unfortunately, he'd lost touch with her, as he had with just about everyone else important in his life. Stetson was hoping the assignment would give him the chance to touch bases with lost friends and loved ones. Ahska, Morgan, Kinin. He missed them all.
The transport had docked a bit ago and he was ready to disembark. He'd found out where he and his staff would be staying on the base and had arranged for his belongings to be taken to his quarters. While he'd like nothing more than to go to unpack, even relax a little, and get settled in, that was not to be. First thing he needed to do was pay his respects to the CO of DS 10, even though, officially, he was not in Stetson's chain of command and, as a result, someone to whom he was NOT required to report. To not do so, however, would be tremendously disrespectful.
Making his way to the Command Center, he found the one he'd been looking for.
"Excuse me, sir. I'm Captain Stetson Griffon, Commandant of the Academy's Remote Training Facility being established here on you facility. I look forward to working with you," Stetson greeted.
