"...you really ought to let me in."
No.. no he didn't need to be let in. Mandy was his, he was her's... three's a crowd. Nevir stayed firm, though she definitely tried to sidestep him. "I think we are fine here, any call to Sickbay was a mistake."
"I have to make sure everything's alright. It's protocol."
What was with this guy? Pesky and intrusive, and Tek was noticeably getting angry. A fist clenched as thoughts swirled. This damn ship of course was working against him. Now that he found someone perfect, who wanted him, the ship had to try to do what it could to make his life miserable. Wasn't it enough what happened before?
What happened... what happened?
"I think you should leave. Now." he said, more forcefully, when he heard Mandy in the background.
"Tek, I...I don't think...."
He turned at the sound of Mandy's voice, and the nurse used that opportunity to shove past the science officer.
"Tek, you are a prick!" he snarled, rushing to Mandy's side, tricorder out. Nevir followed close behind her, both out of concern and out of jealousy. He restrained himself for now, especially while he scanned Mandy from the bed.
"What did you do to her, Tek? Her levels are off the charts... except... her endorphin level. Did you give her anything?!" the nurse said, almost accusatory. Nevir ignored him for the most part, instead climbing into bed next to her, taking her hand in support.
"I.. I didn't. I..." he said, when a pain seemed to come from the back of his eyes, too. He squinted, his other hand shooting to his head. An action that did not go unnoticed by the nurse. Before he could protest, he was scanning him.
"Same with you. Both of you should be flooded with hormones... wait... I cannot believe I said that... but both of you... Tek you're also heating up."
Tek shook his head and opened his eyes, looking at the nurse. He was actually kind of cute... even for a guy. Tek started to reach for him, and then stopped. Every sense was telling him not to, his biggest concern when it came to women as of recently. Stop ignoring the woman you have for another. Though, it also didn't help that Tek never felt this way for a male, either. Instead his hand went to Mandy's arm, to comfort her.
"Tek.. what are you doing, I think you both should..."
"Stop." The words came out of his mouth before he realized it. He was feeling the same feeling flooding him, and he was starting to look at the nurse with the same hunger he had for Mandy.
"Don't.. don't touch us." he said, shaking his head. "There's something wrong, I can feel it. Mandy and I were fine, and then not..." he said, turning Mandy to look in her eyes. "I know that look..." he said, trying to resist kissing her again.
"You have our scans. There is some sort of inducement... I was touched by someone else outside, and I touched Mandy. We... we need to be quarantined. Go back to Sickbay. Seal off the holodeck. If you stay here... just go. Leave me with her. I'll take care of her." he said, feeling his mind fuzz again.
"Go.. please... I need..." he said, looking into Mandy's eyes.
"I need you..."
The nurse slowly stood up and back away. Normally he would think this was typical Tek, but the scans were showing something that did warrant concern. And to his credit, the bumbling science officer seemed to recognize that something was wrong. At least he asked to lock the ship down this time, instead of doing it himself. That was enough to piss him off last time. He exited the holodeck, letting the doors close. He sighed for a moment, lucky that the corridor was closed. Sighing, he tapped his badge, starting down the corridor to sickbay. They might not believe him because of who the patient was, but it did seem serious.
//"Reyes to Sickbay, I need a.. quarantine for holodeck one. On behalf of Tekison, but I do recommend it. I'm bringing scans from Tekison and Bergin, they seem to have some sort of cerebal illness. From what he told me, I think we need to put the ship under blue alert. I don't think Tek is the source of this one. On my way back."//
