At first, the task of hypospraying the whole crew seemed impossible, but Vance had moved through the decks as efficiently as she could with Sandy's help. Thankfully, they were eventually joined by other teams, and they were hearing reports from all decks as they were treated. As she watched many of the other officers become themselves again, she knew it was going to be an interesting few days and people sorted things out. It was certinly an interesting first impressions, but she supposed there was something to be said when you were aboard the Talon. While Vance had heard plenty of stories, and she had made several acquaintances with their crew when she had been assigned to SGE, she tried to come aboard with an open mind.
Squinting at the data in her tricorder, Vance was convinced that their task was almost complete. Rubbing the fatigue out of her eyes for a moment she glanced up, then did a double taking... suddenly finding herself in Engineering? Standing very still, she tried to retrace the last moments she could remember. Of course, she was supposed to have already reported to Engineering ages ago, but had been interrupted by the virus that taken a hold of the ship. She wasn't tired enough to have just automatically walk herself to her station just yet.
Seeing a young girl with colorful hair and civilian clothing in front of her, Vance tilted her head. She hadn't met everyone yet, and was starting to truly regret the disadvantage as she went from one strange scenario to the next. "Hello, I'm-"
"You have all been found guilty and have been placed in your final locations for your pathetic existence,"
Aside from the obvious distaste from the person addressing her, Seia felt the distinct sensation of her mind being touched by another. However, it was very unlike that of her grandmother and other betazoid family that had shared their thoughts. It was powerful and intrusive, whereas her family had been gentle and cautious. The unwelcome presence in her mind made her frown deeply, her breath hitch, and she tried her best to block herself from it. She failed spectacularly.
"Out of respect for my Father, I will allow you to choose the manner of your death, which will be carried out by those sharing your location. Failure to comply will result in all those whom you love to perish. You have twenty-four hours."
Manner of death!? Vance's deep black eyes gave the girl a questioning look, though doubted she had any answers. By the looks of it she was Etimonian, and not the source of the message. Feeling her adrenaline surge again, Seia took a long breath, though it shook a little as she exhaled. Her mind spun as she thought over the message over and over, trying to make sense of it. "Did you hear that as well?" she was finally able to address the girl. The Engineer had been on the ship for less than 24 hours, but was now only given another 24 hours to enjoy her assignment. "Any idea what this is about?" It was a ridiculous question, considering, but it had to be asked.
