In her years of experience eggs were not something she was an expert on as she looked between the eggs that Dakbar and Mallory had. Though she did have to smile when Dakbar mentioned they made things that tasted like bitter rubber. Her jumbo stick was definitely slightly off as was expected from ship replicators. Uli said " Rubber like is better than dry. There is nothing like real tea, one of those things that is near impossible to replicate."
Then the captian called the duty officers to the bridge. Of course she naturally had no idea if she was one of them since she just transferred to the ship. Her comm badge had not even been set up to work with the ship yet. Even if setting it up was probably easier than ordering food from a replicator, it was something she always delayed slightly. There was a phrase for her habit something to the tune of << Old habits die Hard>>.
Leaning back in her chair she said " See you all later." to those who got up and went to the bridge. An eyebrow only raising slightly when Dakbar called one of his officers to join him in the mess hall.
As much as she wanted to go and investigate she stayed seated. Mostly as running and following Chloe would have lead to awkwardness if there was a second helm person on the bridge. Especially as she had no idea of the duty roster. A roster she was rather certain there was no way she would be able to access from the computer.
Reaching to her waist band she fidgeted with her tricorder connecting it to the ship comm system incase someone called for her. If not she had every intention of leaving in a few minutes to investigate the bridge or try to figure out how many helms people were on it some how. Uli said " Interesting technique." to Dakbar with a smile, as security showing up to the mess was about as entertaining as her plans. After all, one could usually tell how many helms people were at the controls by checking for the status of the helm computers. With on vs off often left as public information, like peoples locations. Or at least that was her prior experience.
At least for now she could enjoy her jumba stick. Uli said " I think they were called sunny side up if I remember correctly from my academy days." with a look towards Mallory's eggs.
