"There's just so much to be done."
Emmarie nodded back at Trotter's response. "Well, we should have more than enough hands to get you all straightened out and back into space again," she said with a grin.
"What systems suffered the worst?"
Roman responded to this question. "Whatever it was that we hit, we struck dead on. So the Navigational Deflector, Communications Array and the Sensors in that area are all non-functioning. In addition to that, our Impulse engines are offline because cracks in the manifold are causing us to vent plasma. The manifold can be fixed up easily enough, but until the navigational deflector is repaired, there's no good reason for us to spend time on it.
"Ideally, I think we should try to focus on that navigational deflector," Emmarie said. "If that's not reparable with what we've got on hand then there's no reason for us to bother with the rest."
"Yes, that's the logic that we're operating off of," Trotter said quickly. "But we didn't have too much in the way of spare parts, so we couldn't fix it all on our own."
"That's understandable," Emmarie responded. "At least you've landed, so you're not trying to repair it in worker bees," she joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Coming around to the front of the Copernicus, Emmarie could see deep scorch marks over the front of the Engineering section of the hull. Taking out a Tricorder, she began to scan over the deflector, making notes on a Padd.
"We'll need a good number of parts from the Talon," she commented. "1 Booster Modulator, an Emitter Array, a Force Beam Generator and an Induction Stabilizer." She looked over at Kelsey and Cobus. "Do we have those parts aboard the Talon?" she asked, having not been aboard long enough to know what sorts of supplies they had readily available. Everything seemed common enough though, so she assumed that they would.
