It had been difficult to disentangle herself from Desan in the morning, get a shower and get to the Command Center on time, but Etaera forced herself to do it because she had a sneaking suspicion that everyone was going to be late for their shifts, if they didn't miss them entirely. Someone had to be responsible, and unfortunately in this occasion that someone was Etaera.
When she arrived at the Command Center, it was largely devoid of personnel, save a few Ensigns who had the overnight shift, and the Command Lieutenant Commander who was in charge of the station for that time. She dismissed him after he'd made his report, then sat down at one of the stations, taking a look at the Comm traffic.
It was largely coordinating trips down to the planet below, but there were also messages regarding officers who'd gotten too drunk. There had been a few small scuffles in the corridors as well as a result of drunken mistaken identities, but it appeared that it was nothing that the security team couldn't handle.
She wondered where Tazer was, and debated calling him, but decided against it. There was nothing that she really needed his assistance with at the moment, and he had seemed upset when last she'd seen him last night. She wasn't certain if it was because his date ended up leaving with another man, or because his sister had left for the Talon. She suspected more the latter than the former.
She cringed as she saw that they were now a few days behind schedule on the build because of the fact that so many resources had been needed for the party. She felt bad for the Engineers who would inevitably be working overtime because of it.
She settled down for what would likely be a long, quiet, boring shift. Still, it was exactly what the station needed after all the drama of the past few days.
