Rychel hadn't seen Dakbar since Sickbay.
She'd expected that he would be there when she returned to have the rest of her injuries tended to, but the doctors told her that he'd snuck out a good bit ago. And when she asked the ship's computer where he was at, he was informed that he was no longer aboard the Talon.
She tried not to get too upset by this fact. He likely wasn't in the mood to see her, at least not yet. Somehow, she thought he would need a bit of time to square with all that had occured.
She hadn't been alone in the corridors much since her nighttime visitor, and it was somewhat odd walking through a largely empty ship. She resolved to get over her pointless fears, and to enjoy the time that she had away from her duties. Stopping back at her quarters, she changed into a white, ankle length dress with gold trim. Her brother had frequently told her that she looked almost ethereal in the gown, and it made her happy to wear it.
She headed to the transporter room, and after a bit of internal debate decided to head down to the carnival. She hadn't attended one since she was a little girl, and she didn't know when she'd get the opportunity to do so again. As she walked through the gates, she saw a bunch of contortionists performing, and she headed over to watch them.
The crowd about her oohed and ahhed, and it was quite clear to Rychel why they were so impressed. The contortionists were very talented, and it was obvious that they enjoyed what they were doing. Their costumes were flashy, and their sets complex. Relaxing a bit, she stood there and watched, eye wide with wonder.
