The song changed again to something equally upbeat and unrecognizable, and Seia's fingers drummed the surface of the bar to the beat.
"Yeah.. that's sounds about right."
Vance gave the other woman a curious look, trying to decide what she meant from that. "Do you know Commander Tykat? Or... perhaps you were in the Academy when he taught?" She'd already met a handful of officers that had been under the Commander's instruction, so it wouldn't surprise her if Hann was another of his former students. It was interesting to see how some of them were still intimidated by the Chief Engineer. She wondered if Hann still thought him to be a hard ass, not that she was wrong.
"I know which one i'd choose... Danger is exciting. And an ego can be tamed. It bodes well for the bedroom."
The red liquid was gone and Vance laughed loudly. Seia wasn't sure if she wanted to do any taming, but she definitely wouldn't turn away a bit of danger and excitement in the bedroom. The thought made her giggle out loud, and she felt the edges of her mind blur a bit. Ah... that was the feeling she had been looking for, and after watching the one red drop sink into the blue drink, she picked it up and shot it back.
"Have a bit of both."
Another long laugh escaped her lips, enjoying the woman's company and the thoughts she was putting into her head. "Ooohh, I'll have to wait and see," she told her. "I'm in no rush. They might not even like the idea of an empath." The Lieutenant definitely knew, and Seia guessed it was why he hadn't made a move yet, and the only way the Governor would know was if he looked up her profile in the Starfleet database. In theory, it didn't bother her; she wasn't ashamed of who she was, and generally accepted that certain men weren't mature enough. But, she couldn't say she hadn't let high hopes end up in hurt feelings before.
Vance wasn't sure how many drinks they'd had, but their train of shots had been considerably shortened, which was unacceptable. Taking out her own credits, she took care of the next round and the barkeep resuscitated their line of drinks with new, colorful ones one by one.
