"However long that may be,"
"Hey, chin up," he said with more intent than was usual for his normal no rush attitude to things. "If you give up now, I won't forgive you," he added, to soften his words a little before he glanced the rest of the brig space. Bodies had come and go and he could voices but he didn't listen to them. It hardly concerned him just yet. He was more concerned about Morgan and her sate of mind. Definitely one of her darker weeks for a while, he imagined.
He heard the door hiss open which grabbed at his attention once more. Sure enough the new figure made an obvious beeline for the cell in which Morgan was situated. Charles made a quick study of the man and it seemed the man was resolute in his body language. He was here for one thing and one thing only. Charles rose from his seat, watching the newcomer, a little bit wary. He just hoped to starfleet she would come back unscathed as possible, after all, Morgan wasn't a bad person.
"I have been ordered to take you to the Admiral's ship where you will undergo questioning regarding your affiliation with a member of the Continuum."
Charles lifted a brow, what was that about and it was clear Morgan hadn't a clue either from her reaction. He silently reached out and squeezed her arm in gentle reassurance of what he had said before, he would be there for her anytime she needed a friend to talk to. That's if she was allowed a 'phone call' in the least. He didn't suppose he'd be hearing from her any time soon.
"I would recommend you step aside, Sir."
"Not stopping you," he said softly before he looked at Morgan, "Don't forget what I said," he said to her with meaning before he watched her leave with the newcomer that he didn't recognise. Charles followed them out before glancing towards Reid and the man he was still questioning. He shook his head before he made to leave. There was nothing here that required his presence anymore. He frowned slightly as it opened before he had reached the doorway to let another man through, a man who looked rather peeved. Charles paused and glanced back to the blonde before his mouth thinned slightly and left.
TAG ; Any / END Charles
