After taking a few minutes to reread the message from his father he reread it a few more times then sighed quietly hoping not to draw attention to himself from the other bridge officers, Now he wished he had taken some time on the planet.
"Too late now." Lawson said to him self almost silently before shaking his head and deciding he might send a pre-emptive message to security that he might be a security risk... what the hell are thinking... all you need is another one, 'Screw it' he thought and he went back to going through the consoles readouts checking them and then making sure the Talon was on course.
He surveyed the time stamps and positions of the ship all was correct and on time, well not to the perfect measurements but that didn't happen really especially when you were bored and waiting to go on shore leave but then again it was pretty good the other guy probably found it comforting to know he didn't have a full shift to do.
Lawson decided he would surely loosen up after this he hadn't done it so far on the Talon and it sure was time, he just hoped the bar knew how to make good drinks and had real drinks but still if they didn't his single case of his most favourite drink had finally arrived for him when they had docked at the star base, not the strongest drink he had but possibly one of the oldest on board he figured he might offer some to the other pilots or someone else he wanted on his good side maybe a few of the security officers.
He shook his head and went back to work holding the orbit checking this and that. after a quick think he thought it best to have a message written up to one of the security officers, defiantly not the Klingon he thought maybe someone else or just leave the name out and decide later. He quickly split the screens again and typed up the draft message with the attachment of the report of his sister if he overheard something from the other he would send it as a sort of get out of jail-much-more-rich card.
