Faye considered the words, as they didn’t seem to merely be random conversation from the crowds. Mentally, she drew a diagram, assigned numbers, hoped whoever it was who’d given the instructions read left to right like she did, and watched.
"Oh yeah? How do you figure that?"
“Nothing is truly random, didn’t you take programming lessons?” Faye exclaimed. She watched the jets intently, trying to see if the pattern that was called out by someone in the crowd was correct. She leaned a bit far forward, and nearly took a jet to the face, before

“This isn’t a talking attraction, this is a doing attraction!” Faye said. Bruce was the last person she expected to want to talk things out in such a fashion. Confident that she knew the pattern, she took a deep breath, and crouched down, preparing to move.
She watched the sequence one more time before going. She dodged the round jets of water, and the water bubbles, and the longer jets of water, making respectable speed. She misjudged her timing, and one of the jets struck her in the arm, which smarted, and caused her to stop. She made certain she wasn’t in the path of any of the other jets before speaking.
“C’mon, you guys should be able to get here!” She still had a decent ways to go, but she’d made appreciable progress. Her fingers and toes were getting pruny, and her clothes clung to her in a manner that was bordering on immodest. No white shirts next time…
