Some folks might have called it foolishness, others bullheadedness, and a few might go so far as to say it was asking for trouble but whatever it was Eden had gone and done it.
For the second time the blonde crossed through the doors of the Pi in the Sky with the same intention as the first- find something delicious to eat and wash it down with a refreshing drink. While the woman could have declared she was not scared of the establishment until she was blue in the face her body language certainly told a slightly different truth; the doors had opened and instead of confidently strolling inside there was a moment of hesitation as recent memories tried to remind Eden of why another eatery might have been a better choice. Green eyes scanned the room for men growing breasts and babies relieving patrons of their garments and thankfully there was not a single baby, or fleshly secret, in sight. So far so good.
Checking into the hotel had been as easier than slipping off a greasy log backward and the chocolate on the pillow was quickly devoured. In a nest of soft white pillows the Starfleet officer had sent out a couple messages announcing her arrival to the station. Naturally Taylor was first on the list as they had practically become kinfolk in a matter of a few intimate hours both before and after her brief pregnancy. Mr. Kynston was next. The poor man had spent more time in a turbolift cab than anyone should in their entire life and she was curious to see how he was doing and how he had adapted to life in the Gamma Quadrant. Maybe his experiences were far more tame than her own.
"Aaron- On leave, visiting the SGE, available for lunch if you are. I'll save a table at Pi. The hospitable Eden Nivans."
A third letter addressed to the second man trapped in the 'lift had almost been sent but it was scrapped after a few minutes of thoughtful deliberation. The Commander had introduced himself vaguely as a Chief of Security but her close friendship with Ensign Warren solved the mystery of where he was officially attached. An inquiry to the computer concerning his whereabouts might have come across as a bit too...suspicious? Flirtatious? Distasteful? Crazy? Beside, he was probably running about doing awesome chief stuff that was too important to be interrupted by lunch with a random ensign he had come across several weeks ago. Kicking down doors and serving up justice was more important anyway, not to mention incredibly entertaining to imagine. He probably did not have a memory of her anyhow.
Eden was mindful enough to pick a table that had been covered with a table cloth, after all, one could not be too careful. While she only expected a single guest she selected a setting that had four chairs. A seat for two seemed too romantic for a couple of pals catching up.
While waiting for a either a message declining her invite or Aaron's pleasant company the southern belle ordered a sweet tea for herself and sipped on it anxiously. Sitting alone in silence felt a whole lot like being the last pea at pea time. If there had ever been a way a torture the woman the cold shoulder would have been it.
