The room slowly began to materialize around him, and as the hum of the transporter died down and movement of his joints was restored, Raal quickly extended his phaser before him. His eyes surveyed the room as he searched for some sign of Lyras. And while he didn't see her immediately, he did have proof that she was here. His eyes quickly fell upon the scattered droplets of green blood that seemed to be everywhere. He had to wonder if she were simply panicking, or if she had purposely move about the room leaving a trail that led nowhere and everywhere at the same time.
Raal glanced over his shoulder, his eyes falling on Gwen. He nodded towards the blood, knowing that she'd likely draw the same conclusion. As he turned, he waved his phaser in the same direction looking for the slightest clue as to her current location. He slowly began to move forward, being wary of any traps or exposing himself to a direct blast from a phaser. After a few seconds, he broke the silence speaking out first. "It's over, Lyras," he spoke aloud. "I think you know that. The logical thing to do would be to surrender." He allowed those words to settle before he went on to add, "But logic isn't your primary means of reasoning, is it? If it were, we wouldn't be here."
Part of him was hoping that his words would provoke some sort of reaction. A movement or a verbal response that would in turn reveal the woman's location. Hell, he would even settle for a stray phaser blast as long as it missed its mark. However, Lyras had been one to dwell in the shadows. He rmeans of operation may have been sloppy, but she did have a degree of patience. Raal took a deep breath. "The only other means of escape from this room is over there," said Raal lowly. He gestured in the direction of the Jeffries Tube access. "If we position ourselves between her and it, we'll likely force her hand." He sighed. "Of course, doing so will likely leave us vulnerable to an attack."
He had already determined that he wasn't going to order anyone to make a sacrifice that he wasn't willing to make. While it was a more tactical approach for someone to remain back and cover the position from there, it wasn't an order he was going to give. He proceeded to move as he had originally announced. "This is the last chance I'll give you to surrender, Lyras," Raal said as he continued to move forward. "It's no longer a matter of if you'll go down... just a matter of how hard."
