A few Bajoran words of shock left her lips as the tiny demon tore into Alyssa and turned his murderous sights on Coardi. She'd seen many strange things but never had a doll come at her with a butcher's knife but such behavior wasn't to be tolerated by the assistant chief and Alyssa dispatched him with the aggressive grace one might expect from a woman in the commander's position. It was a wonder to behold.
“Coradi, help Tahp with Grace,”
All the woman could do was nod, wide eyed.
“We are getting out of here.”
"Yes ma'am," the yeoman agreed. They would, all of them, and there was no doubt that Jenison was the woman to lead them out of this mess.
Not wanting to leave Tahp hanging (or Grace depending on how you looked at it) Coardi moved to help the bright haired woman carry the nurse. "Tahp, if you grab..." it felt wrong somehow to talk to her this way. She owed Tahp and apology.
"I'm sorry for what I said earlier when I called you a mascot," her eyes fell as she thought about how tricked and gullible she felt by Nevir but why didn't matter. Summoning her nerves Coardi looked back up to find Tahp's eyes. "For what it's worth I know how terrible it feels to be underestimated or like your contributions mean less and being called a ship's mascot totally undermines the things that you do. I'm sorry if I made you feel that way too."
Coardi picked up Grace's legs, happy to take on the task so that all of them could survive, hoping that Tahp wouldn't hate her stomach, or however the humans put it.
