"MY people?! You dare say that it was MY people who attacked your colleague? And I suppose that its YOUR people who fly under the flag of Section 31, too?"
Tyne's fist struck the desk as he stood, rage clearly etched deep on his face. "Section 31 didn't destroy a huge portion of Cardassia," he shouted. "Maybe you haven't seen the images of the Stations attacked by Cardassians, clearing the way for the Klingons to attack Earth!" It took a while for him to calm down even a little and he simply let Marak jaw on, not really listening.
"Blast it, man, did you not take the time to read the memoirs of Elim Garak?!"
"I have little time to read fiction," Tyne replied.
"Dakbar represented a risk to the Order. I don't know what that might be, but I intend to find out."
"Dakbar is still a member of Starfleet," Tyne cautioned Marak. "Mind what you do."
"Whatever the Order is planning, there are only two goals. [...] By the time you or the Federation gets wind of their intentions, it will be too late. Especially for you. Whether you like it or not, our relationship poses both a threat and an opportunity to the Order. There are more ways to neutralize a man than just killing them."
"I also don't have time for idle threats," he began, but was cut off by a member of his staff at his doorway, informing him there was an urgent message from the Talon. "Remain here," he said to Marak, before exiting the office. Out of earshot of the Cardassian, he listened to the distress call and the information provided about the possible Talon contagion.
"Close access to the Station immediately," he said to his people. "Mobilize Medical to ascertain whether or not this thing has made its way here. Form a rescue team, heavy on security, and get them on their way to Vargas' location as soon as possible." He sighed, running a hand over his face briefly. "Blue Alert. No ship is to leave the Station without my personal authorization."
His fingers tapped rapidly on a console, opening a station-wide communication. "This is the Captain speaking. A situation on the USS Talon has forced us to restrict travel at this time. It is my recommendation that all residents return to their quarters until further notice. Travellers should remain where they are and seek the advice of Security should they need to move throughout the Station. All crew, report to your supervisor immediately. We hope this situation is short-lived and I will update you soon."
"Get me Lt Commander Jenison on the Talon," he finished.
