"Thank you, Sir," she said.
Stetson could tell that, try as she might, Kinin couldn't keep a slight quiver from creeping into her voice.
"My pleasure, Commander Kinin," he replied.
Stetson grabbed two PADDS from his desk. The first contained the hard copy of Starfleet's order for Kinin's promotion and new posting. She'd need it for her records, of course, but given the rift in Starfleet regarding Klingons, especially those still serving in Starfleet, it could come in very handy.
"Here are your orders from Starfleet Command regarding your new posting and promotion. They are, of course, more detailed and contain more information. You might want to keep them handy," Griffon suggested.
His PADD held a duplicate copy of those orders. It also contained the RTF Training Program he'd be implementing. It wasn't completely fleshed out, of course. The RTF was a new entity and it was expected that, not only would there be changes to any program/plan that had been prepared in advance, opportunities could/would arise that would allow training to encompass materials and experiences hitherto unanticipated.
In other words, it allowed him to change things up on the fly.
While on their way, he shared with Kinin the observations he'd made of the actions of the cadets in the RTF while awaiting his arrival. At least now she'd have a better idea of just what he'd gotten her in to!
They stopped short of the door. Kinin, despite her best efforts, couldn't quite make herself as presentable as she'd like. He could tell by the look on her face that this was bothering her.
"I apologize, Kinin, for not giving you the chance to clean up. I should have. I'll make it right for you." He gestured to the door. "Let's do this."
The door hissed open. Kinin strode confidently into the room and in her best command voice ordered, "ATTENTION ON DECK!" Waiting for a two count, Stetson strode purposefully into the room and surveyed his charges.
