Once a cure was found for the virus, Kinin was transferred to DS10, her new home, despite Sig's protests. As soon as she could breathe again, she checked herself out AMA. There were too many discrete glances in her direction for her taste and she would not give them the satisfaction of creating even more rumors. She was battered, bruised, tired and immensely cranky. The only saving grace was that her stay in Sickbay had wiped her off of the duty roster for the day. While she had been lying on the biobed, before they removed the breathing tube, she listened to the whispers around her. Apparently, everyone was excited that the cadets had arrived, whatever that meant, but one name struck her to the core. Commandant Stetson Griffon. Stetson was on board DS10, assigned there, as suddenly and inexplicably as she had been. She needed to know why.
That curiosity was the reason she now stood in front of the newly christened RTF office, what was once assigned as the office of some alien ambassador.
After being granted permission to enter, she stepped into the room, pleased to see some of the usual trappings that had once graced the Security Chief's office on the Talon. A tribal dream catcher held her attention for a moment, the feathers of alien birds always sending her mind to the person she held most dear. What must he think now? Surely the rumors had reached him.
She waited until her mentor looked up, before coming to attention. "Sir," she said, her voice hoarse from trauma. "Why are you here?" Kinin was never one to beat around the bush.
