Physical Profile: Caspian is 5'9", 179 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes
Personality: Many would describe Caspian as laid back. Some would even go so far as to say he is unambitious, but that is because they don't understand how he functions. Caspian has never felt the need to be rushed in his career or his personal development. He enjoys a leisurely pace through life, and thus also through his career. He does not aspire to command, but rather to serve and heal, and does so at the beat of his own drum.
Many would describe Caspian as a people pleaser. He enjoys putting others at ease, although he has learned that his job often times requires challenging other's opinions and beliefs. It is a fine line he tests day after day.
Background and History: Caspian enjoyed the life of a typical Terran child growing up on Earth. He lived in luxury other species would be jealous of, and received a broad and comprehensive education. Caspian spent much of his childhood run by the emotions of his friends and family. He felt uncomfortable displeasing them or "hurting them". In time, his parents could see his unhappiness, and though they did not know what made him so unhappy, they wanted to get him the help he needed.
This was Caspian's first encounter with counseling. He learned how to find confidence and strength in his own opinions, and how to say "no" in the right situations. He was almost depressed when his sessions ended, but came to understand why they needed to. The seed was planted for his future career in Starfleet.
It wasn't until the Dominion War that Caspian developed that interest into a passion. At that time, Caspian volunteered at the same counseling center that had served him, and he say many Starfleet officers coming through with scars that had healed on the outside, but were still very raw on the inside. It was Starfleet that faced the galaxies most fearsome threats, and it was Starfleet that he decided to dedicate his life.
Starfleet Academy was challenging but also invigorating for him. However, Caspian felt himself at odds with the other cadets. Where they pushed and strained to get to the stars as quickly as possible, Caspian felt content to learn all he could and to refine himself. He remained in the academy by choice for an additional year than his other classmates to accomplish this end.
His career took him to starbases and and starships alike. Caspian never much cared where it was he served so long as he could continue to serve his crew to the best of his abilities.

Sample Roleplay:
//"Caspian,"// The comm chimed in with his secretary's voice. //"Ensign Whitmyre is here to see you. I told him you weren't taking any more appointments, but--"//
"It's okay, Samantha." Caspian replied with a sigh. "Send him in."
The door to his office slid open, revealing a rather distraught young man. His mouth hung slightly ajar as his eyes scanned the room. The selves were nearly empty. Containers were strewn about that highlighted the terrible truth that had brought him in to see Caspian: his transfer.
"Jeremy, please come in," Caspian began walking over to welcome the young man inside. "I was hoping to see you one more time before I left."
"Why??" Jeremy looked at the counselor with a hard stare. Caspian looked taken back by the abruptness of his response.
"Why did I want to see you again?" He let out a small chuckle.
"Why are you leaving?" Whitmyre threw back, ignoring the joke. "I thought you were happy here!"
"Jeremy, of course I am. That's not why I'm transferring." Jeremy looked at Caspian in anticipating for the real answer. Caspian quietly exhaled as he looked away. He had to consider the best way to explain this. "Do you remember when you graduated the Academy? How did it make you feel?"
"I was excited," Jeremy answered with the hint of a smile. "I was finally getting out of the Academy and onto a starship. But I don't get--"
"Were you friends with any underclassmen?" Caspian interrupted.
"...yes."
Caspian smiled again. "And how do you think they felt when you graduated and left them?"
Jeremy caught on to Caspian's point and nodded. Caspian laid his hand on the man's shoulder. "Change is a part of life. It's not easy, but it's necessary to grow and develop. Keep your eyes open, Jeremy. Someday soon you will have to decide whether to stay or leave. Don't let fear of change control your life."
Jeremy took a deep breath and closed in for a hug. Caspian welcomed it with open arms. He patted the man's back twice before breaking the embrace. "I will miss you, Jeremy."
"Good luck, Caspian," Jeremy offered shortly before he made his exit. Caspian took a deep breath as he looked around the office. He still had a lot of work to do and not much time left. The Talon awaited him...and all the challenges and rewards that lie therein.
