"That might be closer to the truth than you think, what? You think your little groupie are the only ones with secrets?"
"What's that supposed to mean," Rooks scowled.
"My father knew things."
"Isn't your father dead," Rooks retorted loudly, stabbing Robin in the heart with his words. "I'm sure his influence has dissolved pretty much the same way his body has."
Haywood looked up from his work suddenly, a scowl on his face, as Robin made his way back to Hunter's cell.
"It sounds like you're the one scapegoating by throwing Stetson's name into mud!"
"Think what you want," Hunter said as Robin mouthed a few words. Carefully, he pantomimed dealing out a deck of cards, using Robin's body as a shield from the nosy Rooks. If Robin were astute, he would know what that meant. Though they had not done so recently due to Hunter's assignment, the two friends had, in the past, enjoyed many games of poker.
"Look," Hunter said clearly, to Robin. "Save yourself the heartache and just go. Wouldn't want to sully your perfect reputation by talking to me. Though, with the new regime, your days may be numbered in Starfleet anyway."
Rooks chuckled. "Well said. Soon these cells may be packed full of aliens again. I imagine you were quite cramped in them. Had to relieve yourself in front of your coworkers, male and female." He snorted, thinking of the famous Robin Star having to defecate in front of everyone. "I'm sure those videos will go into the 'keeper vault' for the security staff."
