She was getting rather impatient. Not that she had any right to expect entry, exactly, but surely somebody could've showed up at the door before the staff member returned.
Only it wasn't him who suddenly materialized at her elbow--it was, in order of appearance, a man dressed in a very strange costume indeed, holding out a commbadge and saying something very excitedly about Tahp. Liz blinked at him, took the commbadge, and watched him retreat back the way he had come, disappearing through the door that led to the lift. Well, then. She glanced down at the badge in her hand, turning it over. Somewhere, then, Tahp was here, handing out commbadges like candy.
Before she had a chance to test it, the second arrival appeared.
"Commander!"
It was to her credit that she didn't jump. Of course, at this point Liz's suspension of disbelief was running so high that she wouldn't have blinked twice at Lybbi herself running up. Today was one of strange wonders, and wonders never ceased. "Ensign-" she had time to say, before the door suddenly swung open, revealing someone who was--thankfully--familiar. Sort of.
"Sur'Shess? Did Tahp send you?"
Liz's hand curled around the commbadge, mind salting away the fact that apparently the gift had come to others, as well. That realization, however, was hidden beneath another, another strange flickering at the corners of her consciousness as something in her personal cosmos rearranged itself. "Mr. President," she said carefully, testing the words out. They rang true, but somehow strange, tilting the world just slightly sideways again, the same way she'd felt about being on leave, about Callen and Roman...something just out of reach, something she ought to be able to grasp hold of but couldn't quite.
"Your security seems to be missing," she said drily. She wanted to press into the room, to what had to be a slightly more secure environment than the open hallway--especially if Lily happened to reappear--but the idea of foisting herself upon the...President didn't sit well. "May we?" she asked instead, pointing past him.
