Robin’s frantic eyes had sought Alyssa but instead he saw Cadet Tekison standing before him in what looked like an old-fashioned hotel room. He had poured enough time into studying the generations prior to the advent of warp travel that he recognised various old designs, including the telephone. What he didn’t recognise was why the backboards of the beds were shaped like giant black round ears.
The anger and shock in him witnessing Kinin's disappearance was stolen by a wave of confusion and oddly enough, an uncomfortable relief in seeing Tekison in a Hawaiian shirt. It could only mean one thing. He begrudgingly sighed after looking down to see that he too was wearing an equally festive attire, at least it was a nice sky blue and not electric pink.
“This is a little too familiar isn’t it?” Robin said bitterly, his mind conjuring images of when he had been trapped in a room by Lily with Mandy and Tekison shortly after. Even without the calling card of the shirt Robin was confident that he would have come to the same conclusion for the overwhelming sense of deja vu alone.
“Darby?!” He called out but was already moving, not expecting a response from the deranged Q that might still be suffering from a few loose tormenting screws. He knew Micah had encountered Lily but with all the details of everything he couldn’t remember if Darby had been involved in the madness of yesterday’s events.
“What the hell game are we playing now? Time travel?” Robin asked followed by a quiet gasp of realisation that the people would need him now more than ever! He stopped in front of the large pre-modern wide TV monitor set upon a drawer in front of the two lavishly designed beds with duvets covered in solid black rounded ears. The black blank screen faintly reflected Robin’s determined gaze.
He leaned forward to grab the screen but stopped as if remembering something and ducked his head around the side to inspect the various wires slotted into the device’s back and without any hesitation he started yanking them all free.
Once the TV was unencumbered by the wires he heaved the large monitor up and tossed it onto one of the beds before plopping down beside it and scratching at the various back panels. “How do you get this damn thing open?” He muttered angrily.
