"Kahless went into the mountains, all the way to the Kri'stak Volcano. He cut off a lock of his hair and thrust it into the river of molten rock, which poured from the summit. The hair began to burn, but then he plunged it into the lake of Lusor and twisted it into a sword."
The Bacohl who had gathered around bellowed with laughter. "A hair sword," one of them guffawed. "You'd be torqued for sure if you were fighting with one of those!" It was all in good fun and he slapped Kinin on the back. "The Bacohl could make you a sword worthy of your spirit." Another nodded his great head, then allowed the slit of his mouth to extend upward at the corners. "Tell us another."
"I would rather hear one of yours," Kinin replied, grabbing the tankard which contained her own personal stash of blood wine. The Bacohl each had a mug of it and had declared it "operational."
Stugg put down his drink. "The Great Helical Threading of the Tunnel!" The others began to protest, insisting instead on hearing another Klingon tale. Stugg would not be swayed and launched into a mind-numbing story about how they had engineered the drilling device to get through a mountain that was mostly iron.
"Her eyes are closing," Bronn pointed out. "You are decelerating our host!"
"No, no," Kinin tried to cover, but it was true.
"She is not an engineer," Bronn explained to Stugg. "Tell her of the time you fell into the oil channel and got stuck."
Stugg bellowed loudly at Bronn.
Kinin stood and began chanting a drinking song, which stopped the noise. Soon, all Bacohl knew the words and they were singing it as a round.
