"All clear," she called out.
'Way to go,' Stetson thought. "well done, Ensign," he called out.
Stetson got up and helped Millie to her feet. "Sorry about the rough handling," he apologized. "Just needed to get you out of the line of fire as quickly as possible." Taking a look at her injuries, he added, "Now let's get you some of the help you've been giving others around here."
"Would you like me to check his underclothing for color confirmation," she shouted in Stetson's direction.
Stetson let out a belly-laugh. Not only did she have courage, but a sense of humor to boot! He yelled back, "Not unless you're curious! I'll be right there."
Stetson took Millie over to where Zak, who was still on alert near the line of aliens who were "donating" samples of their DNA. "Ensign Stone, you and the doctor need to go to Sick Bay and have your injuries looked at. Others can take over for you here. No objections."
Stetson went back to the crates and Kinin. "Have a couple of security take this . . . person" he spat out the word "to the Brig. Inform them to strip him of these clothes, scan him carefully for weapons and other explosive devices, put him in a prisoner jumpsuit, and lock his ass up. We'll deal with him shortly."
While she was relaying his orders, Stetson returned to the aliens, who by now had completed their contributions. "Listen up. You will all remain here, under guard, until we return to DS9, a base on the other side of the wormhole. Any aggressive or hostile act will be dealt with quickly and severely. Everyone will suffer for the actions of a single individual, so you'd be well advised to be on your best behavior."
Turning to a nearby member of security, Stetson wrapped up. "For now, keep phasers on stun. If things start getting out of hand, call me. If they turn violent before I get here, you're authorized to kill, but try to avoid that. Any questions?" Hearing none, Stetson left to make his report to the captain. "Damn, it's getting cold in here," he muttered as he walked away. "West Texas boys don't really cotton much to freezing their butts off. Hope they get that fixed soon."
As he exited the Cargo Bay, he was all but running. Once he'd given his report, he was going to make a beeline for Sick Bay. 'She'd better be alright, or that alien's going to be hating life, consequences be damned' he vowed to himself.
TAG: Kinin, any, then END: Stetson
