"But you've got no impulse and the warp core is offline. There's damage to every deck except deck three, shields are down, one of the phaser arrays isn't responding. Oh, and there's a hole the size of a dining table in the port nacelle. Sorry."
"Great," he replied. "Thank you Lieutenant." He watched her scurry away, her face already showing a determination for the job at hand. She had given him more information than anyone had managed thus far, and for that he was grateful.
//"Commander Dacola to bridge. We've got some serious injuries down here and," -- a strange pause ensues before she continues. -- "We've got a saboteur, security seems to be on it. Kary out."//
When she signed out, he took that as a sign that it was the end of the conversation. "Um... okay," he murmured. Straight to the point, she was.
"Captain, I- Um, sorry. Life support is going to take some fixing... and I'll give that priority. If that's alright."
"At ease, Commander," he said, a brief moment of amusement passing over his features, "Captain Christof Asanti," he said in answer to her obvious confusion. "And yes... please see to life support."
Next thing he knew, Dacola was on the bridge. "Fast little thing," he thought.
"Captain. We've got some very serious injuries down there. Do we know what happened? How bad is it?"
"Shields are down, life support is limping along, damage on most decks, a nacelle that needs a facelift, and a phaser array that's not operational." He took a PADD from an Ensign who had just entered the bridge, "no warp engines or impulse power. We're dead in the water, so to speak."
"We know that one of the aliens caused the deaths we found. We're not sure why or even how, but someone did not want their mission to go as planned. Ensign Kinin has information that may help locate the killer."
"See that her information gets into the hands of Commander Griffon. Tell him not to let any of our guests out of Cargo Bay Two until we are sure what we're dealing with. Arrange for some supplies to be brought down. Make them comfortable, but don't give them anything they can use as a weapon." He paused, looking at her through squinted eyes, "are you okay, Commander?"
