The little blushes were much better on her than the embarrassment he'd seen her display earlier in the lab. He still intended to find out who had been mistreating her and give them a piece of his mind.
"Good to meet you too, sir,"
Her soft smile at his question was his reward. As he looked down at her small frame his thoughts made a right turn where they had no business going and he gave a small shake of his head to bring him back to reality.
"I had to come in to adjust the artificial gravity, it's still not performing quite how I'd like it," she said, frowning a little. "But then I saw you seem to be rather busy..."
"No problem Lieutenant." he said "We'll always have a place for you here." he wanted to grab her hand and take her to one of the terminals nearby but knew he couldn't. She was right they really were busy.
"I wondered if you needed any help with anything?" She looked back at Vaatrik. "Is there anything I could do for you?"
He'd started to formulate an answer to the first question when the second hit him like a ton of bricks. He was very lucky the other officers standing around didn't have any idea about his reactions to this woman but he could certainly think of several things she could do that would make him an extremely happy man. He was also certain she didn't have a clue what she'd just asked.
He looked at Sprosan and then back to her. "You're aware of the transporter issues." He stated. "We have people checking out the consoles, but would appreciate it if you could run a diagnostic on the programs to make sure they're not running into any loops or errors to take the transporters offline."
"Is that up your alley?" he asked then he groaned inwardly. 'Hands off Renh' he told himself.
