"Roommates until we finally join the bed of our men,"
She grinned at Kinin, “Yes” she said truly relieved that she wouldn’t be losing her best friend quite so soon after having found her.
"though when I will do so, is uncertain. We are waiting for a word from his House. It is not without reason that they could turn it down."
She was a little shocked by this “His house decides? Without even meeting you?”
”…I shall have hope.”
She nodded “That’s all I have.” She said “Although I have much more today than I did yesterday.” Her eyes crinkled with her smile and her antennae danced with mirth.
”Lieutenant Lundström and Dorian... they have a history. I do not know what to do with that information."
She looked at Kinin for a moment not really understanding her problem. “The Doctor is a nice person from what I have heard, that speaks well for Dorian.” But she didn’t think that was the kind of observation that Kinin wanted. She took a deep breath. “Maybe I’m not the best person to ask that question.”
She reached her hand out to Kinin. “I find Sig the most marvelous male in the universe.” She said. “Yet, I would happily have shared him with his Hannah if that would have made him happy. It is HE who has difficulty dealing with the feelings he had for two different women. He feels strongly about monogamy though it is less than nothing to me. So, I will be monogamous even though it is foreign to my species and means that I will never have another child. I love him the way he is. I would do anything for him.”
She sat back in her chair still watching the clock. “Honestly if what I’ve observed of humans holds true, history is history. It’s the past and you don’t need to do anything with it… unless it becomes the present. But, I think it would be good the tread lightly. Dorian doesn’t strike me as one to take any interference lightly and it just might make your life worse if you do anything.”
She thought for another moment. “What if he told you as a test?”
